have a computer “windows vista compatable”, but graphics drivers won’t work?
This sucks! I just got Vista, and the screen looks all out of focus and washed out. 3D wont work. I looked into the problem, and I found out that my NVIDA GeForce Go 6150 card isn’t compatable with Vista by default. So…I downloaded the nVIDA driver installer. AND THE DAMN THING SAID THAT MY CARD WASN”T COMPATABLE AT ALL!!!! But I just got this computer (a laptop) several months ago, and it was clearly marked “windows vista capable”. In fact, I got Vista upgrade for free when i bought the computer. please help me
Computer programming courses to take?
My work offers $1,500 educational reimbursement for 2 college level courses a year. I want to use this to learn how to create my own website. Whether it be from scratch or with a program I’d like it be capable of decent graphical design (like basic 3D animation) and interactive. I want it to be something best to use as of 2010 – I don’t want to learn something that will just be obsolete or outdated any time soon. If you could please give me decent detail (pros and cons) I’d appreciate it! Also, this doesn’t have to be limited to two courses – if necessary I’ll pay out of pocket too.
Thanks in advance
That is $1,500 for each course FYI. Thanks.
I’m wanting to build a “Super Computer,” but I’m new to the technology…?
I’m wanting to build a “Super Computer,” or in other words a top-of-the-line commercial machine. I have general knowledge on how to assemble them once I’ve purchased the necessary components, but I’m still unsure as to what are the best products to get. If it helps, here is the purpose of the machine;
The computer is supposed to be capable of peforming on multiple LCD screens (I’m purchashing a MOView Quad Monitor Stand.) It should be furnished with the best motherboard and processor, preferably a dual-processor. It should have the greatest amount of RAM that is available and all this within a full-sized tower.
Multiple 3D Engine applications will be ran on this machine with Microsoft XP Pro. While not specifically a gaming machine, it will be required to run highly detailed graphics. I also desire in having multiple HDs, 750GB a piece. If any more information is needed, feel free to e-mail me noah_none@yahoo.com
Thanks for any and all input.
I’m wanting to build a “Super Computer” but I am new to the technology (Part 2)?
I had asked this question 5 months ago, and I am curious how it will be answered again in just this short time span. Here is the original info

I’m curious though if I should star to gear my attention towards Linux/Unix. I was hoping to eventually go into business for myself and my present employer houses their domain with this kid who uses strictly Linux servers and he says he’s never had a crash due to incompatibility, but being raised on Windows I don’t know anything on Linux other than the history of it.
Also, how difficult are RAIDs to set up? Is there a good website dedicated to Computer Science, Programming, and Small Business?
